The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is all set to be launched this month also will first go at sale in Pune, accompanied by Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and other metro cities. Bajaj ensures competing for pricing on the future offering.

The Bajaj Chetak nameplate was renewed last year for the new electric scooter of the company and we finally have a launch date for the highly awaited model.

The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter will be started on January 14, 2020, following up with the manufacturer’s word.

The bike maker has pledged competitive pricing on the new Chetak and we demand the model to be priced around ₹ 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Bajaj will initiate sales of the Chetak in Pune first, followed by Bengaluru and other metro cities in a phased way.

The company’s ProBiking showrooms that currently retail KTM bikes will also house the Chetak scooter and the Husqvarna motorcycles moving ahead.

Bookings for the Bajaj Chetak will commence soon after the launch. The scooter will use a 4 kW electric motor while power grows from a lithium-ion battery and can cover up to 95 km on a single charge in the Eco mode, and 85 km in the Sport mode.

Bajaj says the Chetak is made for modern-day riding conditions and gets an all-metal body, lighted switchgear, LED lights, digital console finished with a side-stand indicator, pillion footpegs.

The scooter handles on alloy wheels and begins with disc brakes for effective braking.

On the design exterior, the Bajaj Chetak e-scooter, much like the original, feels heavy inspiration from Italian retro scooters and the design specification is very likable.

The build quality from what we’ve seen on the prototypes is top-notch and scooter flows of premiumness.

The chetak will get on many competitors in this space including the Ather 450 and the future 450X as well as the Okinawa Praise. We will be taking you all the features on the Chetak from the launch event, keep following this space.
